“ I'm not dining out as much these days. Occasionally we're craving meals that are anything but my home cooking. And lord knows I'm not making sushi in my kitchen! Delivery sushi might have a weird reputation. I mean, you think of beautifully presented fresh fish on fancy plates. Well sometimes that's just unrealistic. Mika Sushi has great Yelp reviews and they're not far from our house. We ordered them on DoorDash and we were stuffed after dinner! When I say stuffed...these were some of the LARGEST sushi rolls I've ever had. Normally I can house two specialty rolls, and these were LOADED to the brim. My mouth was barely wide enough to down these GIANT rolls in one bite (keep it PG). Mexican Roll ($16.95) // spicy yellowtail, cucumber, salmon and jalapeño. A little heavy handed on the sauce. Spicy, savory, tasty. Godzilla Roll ($17.95) // spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, avocado, tuna, seared salmon, special sauce. Loaded with flavor, well balanced, filling. Rock Shrimp ($10.95) // fried shrimp with creamy sauce. Their take on bang bang shrimp. These were good, but would've been even better fresh out the fryer at the restaurant. Simple, easy, can't go wrong. I have to reiterate that these were maybe the BIGGEST sushi rolls ever. I don't know if it translates in the photos. Normally a sushi roll is sliced into 8 pieces; these could've been 10 or 12 pieces! I am full just thinking about this meal! Will have to check out the actual restaurant one of these days. Thanks for filling our bellies on a cold winter night. ”
“ Psssst .... come in a little closer, I don't want everyone to hear this, cuz the place will be PACKED! Mika Sushi is a hidden gem in Arvada, yes, no laughing, I said Arvada. Located in a very non descript strip center, Mika is serving up some of the best sushi bites I have ever had. (FYI.... my last meal on earth will be sushi.... so I have a take out menu with me!). Mika is a friendly little sushi place with a modest menu with very very reasonable prices. My bff and I headed there (at my request) for our last meal of 2024....... let's celebrate I told her. So we sat back in our seats, ordered up some sake and wine and got to it. First up, their 8 piece sushi plate with a California Roll, soup and salad for $20.99. That's right 8 pieces, a roll, soup and salad.... a killer deal.. The pieces were very nice size and extraordinarily fresh. I don't really love a CA roll (but my bff does).... and Mika's was really nice. But the biggest surprise was the miso soup..... I think there was fairy dust in it. It was sooo perfect.... I don't usually order soup (fills me up and I can't more fish). Okay, next (that 8 piece is gonna be hard to beat). We ordered the Arvada roll. We are in Arvada, just seemed appropriate (and extremely kitschy!). The waitress delivered a 10 piece roll on a platter (not a plate). Inside spider, mango, spicy tuna and avocado wrapped with soy paper. I love soy paper! This roll was lovely, plentiful amount of fish with the perfect sweet spicy combination.... wow! Gonna be near impossible to beat this one... but nooo..... Next up, the Godzilla roll with spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, avocado inside, topped with tuna, salmon seared with special sauce. The flavor was amazing, a light smokey seared salmon kinda stole the show.... but this roll came together in perfect harmony of flavors. Oh dear I am stuffed, but I WANT MORE. Next time I guess..... ”

“ So a few months ago our favorite sushi place sadly went out of business. We have been on the hunt for a good sushi place ever since. We found it! Mika Sushi is a fantastic place for sushi. We were met at the door by a very nice employee that showed us to a great table. She quickly realized that we had never been there before and she took the time to explain their menu, their drink menu, and answer our questions. We really enjoyed their service level throughout the entire dinner. We ordered 8 rolls, two of which were their deluxe rolls. I recommend the Godzilla roll, and the Hot Rod roll. Both were awesome. Mika Sushi is located in a strip mall, but not to worry. The place is very nice and clean inside and it actually almost felt like our old sushi place. I recommend Mika Sushi and I am happy to say that we have finally found our new go to sushi place. Loved it!!! ”
“ The restaurant is part of a strip mall and doesn't look anything special from the outside but once you step inside, it's got pretty nice decor with a small bar to serve drinks. We went there for lunch and it was empty but they were getting a lot of to go orders. We got the Spicy yellowtail/salmon roll, valentine roll, Godzilla roll. All were very good. Service was very good and prices were very reasonable. ”
“ Mika sushi is doing something correct. How can a restaurant hold themselves as unique in this market? Ice sculptures on love boats and decorations on plates. We came in and the food was equal to our expectation, the service was incredibly friendly and in a room of soft ambience, some entertainment and a peaceful place to sit. “ Loved Mika!! We were sat right away on a saturday night and had such quick and kind service. There were 5 of us and we apparently ordered enough sushi to be given this giant boat and ice sculpture (though it seems everyone gets some version of this, haha). It was so cool! I definitely plan on going back. ”
“ I have to be honest--I'm writing this review a bit late so I can't tell you exactly what rolls I ordered, but I can tell you that this place is worth visiting regardless. I've been here twice--both times after a summer car meet that's typically hosted in a lot nearby. I tend to forget about this little gem, which is why I'm writing a review now--I won't forget again!! The sushi is delectable and the presentation is stunning. The first time I visited here there was dry ice on my plate which would have been enough reason for me to give this spot at least a few stars, but when I popped a roll in my mouth it was obvious the food was as good as the presentation. The service is great, the staff is kind, the food is fresh. 10/10 would recommend...especially if you're hoping to impress a friend or date. ”
